Who We Are

Agents For Change is an informal partnership of like minded collaborators led by

Jon Fitzmaurice

Moved from studying social science at Southampton and Reading Universities (B.Sc. & M.Phil.) to the stark reality of Birmingham Social Services in 1972. He worked as a generic social worker and in a range of inner-city based community projects, before moving to a national campaigning organisation in London dealing with empty property .He went on to head the London Region of The National Housing Federation for five years before becoming a senior director with London and Quadrant Housing Trust, one of the country's largest housing associations.

In 1991 became chief executive of CHAR and then National Homeless Alliance, before setting up AfC in 2000. He has served on the Boards of both Shelter and NCVO and chaired the DTI's Social Enterprise Unit's working group on Promoting Social Enterprise. He is currently, a Visiting Research Fellow at City University's Cass Business School, Chair of Hyde Northside, a large London housing association, and is a board member of Empty Home Agency and ABC Tales Foundation.

Collaborators

Where necessary, Agents for Change is able to draw on a wide range people with voluntary sector, commercial, and academic backgrounds, who are capable of working on projects that require additional skills or experience.
